The Handrail’s Dream
written by Mathias Svalina
I dream of BMX bikes with no riders, all of them grinding over me, across me, flipping & sliding & arcing through the air, shredding so prettily that time slows, gravity concedes, the only physics a kaleidoscope physics, one after another unceasingly, flocks of finches hatching mid-air, stars bursting & blooming. Even in the dark I am bathed in the bikes’ light.
