There are many ways to support our mission to create & strengthen communities through the literary arts.
Just 48 hours after our triumphant season finale of BABEL with James McBride—a night filled with music, laughter, and community joy—we received devastating news. Funding from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) which supports BABEL and the CIVIL WRITES PROJECT was terminated in “furtherance of the Administration’s agenda.” This isn’t just a funding cut. It’s a direct threat to Buffalo’s literary heart.
This Is Our Moment of Truth. We refuse to let this moment stoke fear or affect our programming decisions, and hope to rally our community in strength and resistance. But we can’t do this alone. Every dollar counts. Every voice matters. Help us show that Buffalo’s commitment to literature cannot be silenced.
Just Buffalo is a registered 501-c-3 non-profit organization, and your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
