Professional Development

We provide professional development opportunities for any and all teachers and school districts. Our goal in working with school districts is to have teachers and administrators learn methods to help students write confidently with sound, sensible organization and strong, original voices. Knowing the power creative writing can play in the classroom, our PD will leave teachers and administrators leaving with various creative activities that help inspire students to access their imaginations and value writing in general.

Teachers ARE Writers

Teachers ARE Writers: Writing Without The Curriculum is a happy hour-style writing workshop for teachers that meets monthly at the JBWC. In collaboration with WNYNET, Just Buffalo Literary Center offers this workshop series for school teachers and educators so they will have the opportunity to explore their own creative work, engage in ongoing conversations about process, and grow as writers.
