24 Aug “Dramatic Irony” by Maya Simmons
During the fellowship, I wrote a series of poems inspired by books or articles that address social issues facing our world. Each poem aimed to explore the issues and emotions associated with it.
The following poem was inspired by Angela Davis and her matter-of-factness when discussing violence.
