The Voices We Return To

The voices from our favorite books often stick with us. What if we could continue those stories? In this workshop, students will choose one of their favorite books/ a book they’ve read recently and use it as the basis for a poem. The poem could be a continuation of a character’s storyline, a piece from their POV, or an alternate ending to the story. Students may think about embodying the author’s style in their work, or use a line from the book as a starting point.
