Bringing the likes of Eileen Myles, Terrence Hayes, and Maggie Nelson over the past three seasons, the STUDIO series begins its 2018-19 with Rachel Zucker and Mark Goldstein.

Rachel Zucker is the mother of three sons and the author of nine books, most recently, a memoir, MOTHERs, and a double collection of prose and poetry, The Pedestrians. Her book Museum of Accidents was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. She received a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in 2013. In 2016 she delivered a series of lectures on the intersection of poetry, confession, ethics and disobedience as part of the Bagley Wright Lecture Series. Zucker teaches poetry at New York University. Her book Soundmachine is forthcoming in fall of 2019.

Mark Goldstein is a writer and translator whose poetry and criticism have appeared in both trade and limited editions as well as in periodicals and journals such as The Capilano Review, BrickOpen Letter and Jacket2. Goldstein’s most recent books are Blacktoll (Beautiful Outlaw, 2013) and Form of Forms (BookThug, 2012).

Goldstein has facilitated workshops at the Toronto New School of Writing, SUNY Albany, and lectured on composition, appropriation and translation at George Brown College, York University, and in Paris at the École des hautes études en sciences socials.

Before becoming a full-time writer, Goldstein played drums alongside Leslie Feist and Broken Social Scene’s Brendan Canning in the indie rock band By Divine Right.
