In past workshops we have studied the core elements of sequential art by dissecting comics and figuring out what makes them tick. Now that we’re familiar with the the principles and mechanics of cartoon storytelling it’s time to find out, what happens when you break all the rules? Join local cartoonist Max Weiss in an exploration of the connection between word and image. We will draw on influences such as poetry and modern art and with any luck, create some thing new in the process.

This workshop is FREE, aimed at young students aged 12–18, and limited to 12 participants.
