Writing with Astrology: A Youth Writing Workshop
How can the alignment of the stars when you were born shape the poem you are writing right now? When writing fiction, how does understanding the traits associated with the signs of your characters affect their actions? During this workshop, we’ll explore the intersection of astrology and creative writing. We’ll share sign-specific prompts and reading recommendations, write creative horoscopes, and let the stars and planets guide us through the creation of new poems, stories, comics, memes, and songs.

No registration required. This workshop is FREE, aimed at young students aged 12–18, and limited to 12 participants.
About the Teaching Artist
Robin Jordan‘s creative nonfiction, fiction, and poetry has been published in various journals, including Dream Pop Press, alice blue review, Puerto del Sol, Paper Darts, Peach Mag, and My Next Heart: New Buffalo Poetry (Blazevox). She received her MFA in Poetry from Oregon State University and is currently working on a mixed-genre collection. She is a founding member of the grassroots community arts project (B)uffalo (A)rt (D)ispensary.
