Alien Texts

What types of texts might exist outside our solar system? What would writing even look like? This workshop explores forms of writing for nonhumans and extraterrestrials. Sending love letters, planning new forms of life, and communicating possible dangers to the future beings we will never meet.

This workshop is FREE, aimed at young students aged 12–18, and limited to 8 participants.


Jake ReberAbout the Teaching Artist

Jacob Reber  is a writer, artist, and educator living in Buffalo, NY.  He is the co-curator of Hysterically Real and an editor for Recreational Resources. He has published several artist books and experimental projects, including Invasive Species (Void Front Press, 2019), Bureaucratic Topologies (Gauss-PDF, 2018), and Lobster Genesis (Orworse Press, 2016), among others.
