Time: 4:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m.

The workshop asks you to integrate writing into your daily life, to make writing not a chore or a task, but an active engagement with your day. We will discuss methods other writers have used to build writing habits, establish personal goals & plans for daily writing, & develop a consistently productive & expressive writing routine.

Mathias Svalina is the author of five books, including Destruction Myth (Cleveland State University Poetry Center), Wastoid (Big Lucks Books), & most recently The Wine-Dark Sea (Sidebrow Books). He is an editor for the small press Octopus Books. Since 2014, Svalina has run the Dream Delivery Service in cities such as Tucson, Marfa, San Diego, Austin, & Chicago. For the month of May 2018, he will deliver dream poems in Buffalo, New York.

This workshop is FREE, aimed at young students aged 12–18, and limited to 12 participants.
