WORDS ON THE STREET is Just Buffalo Literary Center’s placemaking initiative, designed to engage the whole community in the celebration of the written and spoken word. Outdoor public readings, workshops, and events occurred all along the literary corridor on Washington Street to inspire people of all ages and all walks-of-life.

Project Highlights
- 120+ writers, poets, & artists featured at 35+ events
- 1,000s of writing notebooks handed out
- Poems by LIT CITY writers appeared on sidewalks thanks to Joel Brenden’s and Chris Siano’s meticulous stencils
- New mural designed by Julian Montague and painted by James Moffit on Just Buffalo’s Washington Street wall
