Join Sherry Robbins for a 4-session exploration of Melville’s Moby Dick. Each session will focus on a section of chapters and their themes which include, but are not limited to, wanderlust, workers’ rights, water as mystery, money, marine biology, racial equality, love, boundaries and boundlessness, rigidity, and ecstasy. Lively discussion is welcome. A writing prompt will be given before the first session and at the end of each subsequent session for those who like to respond creatively. Time will be allotted for sharing that work at the end of the following session.
Required for the Workshop: Your favorite print edition of Moby Dick. If you prefer audiobooks, William Hootkins narrates the best.
