Environmental journalist Elizabeth Kolbert visits Buffalo on Friday, October 14th for a BABEL author talk at Kleinhans Music Hall. Kolbert's research and writing on species extinction is fascinating, terrifying, and absolutely necessary as we face the realities of climate change. But how do we move forward with this knowledge? How do we turn away from despair and toward action? Look to the people in our own Buffalo & Western New York community working towards environmental justice!

On Saturday, August 27, 2022 Just Buffalo Literary Center closed out the 10th season of the Silo City Reading Series with poetry from Jericho Brown and 2022 Just Buffalo Poetry Fellow, Ashia Ajani, with moving musical performances from Florist (Emily Sprague) and Johann Diedrick.
On Saturday, July 30, 2022 Just Buffalo Literary Center celebrated another evening at Silo City with poetry from Victoria Chang and Joe Hall, an incredible musical performance from Lizzi Bougatsos and the projection of the film, L☿ver, by Dara Friedman.
Looking back on a Spring 2022 collaboration with AK Teens, in which JBWC young writers collaborated with the AK Teens Museum Ambassadors to create a collaborative zine, titled Here's Where I Make A Little Space For You, in response to their exhibit In These Truths, which features work by Black cultural producers.

On Saturday, June 11, 2022 Just Buffalo Literary Center launched the 10th season of the Silo City Reading Series featuring poetry from Richie Hofmann & Albert Abonado, music by Yuki Numata Resnick & Clarice Jensen, and an installation of photography by Pat Cray & Max Collins.
We are thrilled to announce the winner of the 2022 Poetry Fellowship: Ashia Ajani of Denver, CO. Ajani will visit Buffalo this August for a writing residency and perform at the Aug. 27 Silo City Reading Series event.
