Labor's Fruit  In the Age of Revolution, a man stolen from West Africa and enslaved in New England struggles to win his freedom, raise a family and forge an antislavery movement A reading of four 60-minute episodes of a docuseries script based on The Blind African Slave, or Memoirs of Boyrereau Brinch, Nicknamed Jeffrey Brace (1810) Jeffrey Brace (ca.1742-1827): African boy, enslaved sailor, Revolutionary soldier, Vermont farmer, pioneering autobiographer, and antislavery activist.

A Darker Wilderness Workshop w/ Erin Sharkey (in-person)

For Youth ages 12 - 18! At this workshop, we'll write inspired by A Darker Wilderness: Black Nature Writing from Soil to Stars led by writer/editor Erin Sharkey. After the workshop, we'll hold a community reading featuring Erin and a selection of young writers, performers, and activists from Just Buffalo, Ujima Theatre, and Massachusetts Avenue Project.
