Bring “In Gratitude” Creative Writing to Your School

Inspired by our city-wide “In Gratitude” project, we are inviting everyone to practice the art of “serious noticing,” including students and teachers. In a world that often moves at a frantic pace, there is a power in slowing down to acknowledge the small moments of joy and connection that define a community. Just Buffalo wants to bring these themes into your classroom, where we hope to provide students with a framework to explore their own voices through the practice of collective appreciation.

Each school visit is led by a professional Just Buffalo Teaching Artist who brings a hands-on approach to the writing process. These sessions will align with ELA and Arts standards, and are designed to spark interest in the written word. We invite educators across the city of Buffalo to apply for the opportunity to transform their classrooms into spaces of discovery and gratitude.
