Sara Zavacki-Moore: Tiny House of God

Sara Zavacki-Moore’s debut novel Choosing Charity was released in 2022, followed by Tiny House of God (Wild Rose Press, June 21, 2023).

Tiny House of God teaser: When an abandoned baby is left on the front step of Willow’s tiny house, she must decide if she can get away with raising the child as her own. Her therapist wants her to write about her past. As revelations about her abusive upbringing emerge, she starts to question everything about the present- including her newfound joy. In the midst of a global pandemic, can she leave her trauma behind and find sanctuary for the little family she hopes to create?

Sara made her theatrical debut at the age of 10 in her church’s production of “God’s Gift to Santa.” She survived the tumult of her childhood angst, as her diaries confirm. Skip ahead to college, where she met her future husband while performing her favorite role of Anne Frank. A few years later, she was proposed to during a curtain call of Rochester Shakespeare Players’ “As You Like It.”

After graduating from Roberts Wesleyan University with degrees in Psychology and Social Work, Sara completed her MSW and later obtained her New York State Licensing. While raising her two amazing children, she worked in a wide variety of social work jobs. In 2018, she decided to pursue her certification in Hypnotherapy with the National Guild of Hypnotists. Today she has a private practice in Rochester, NY. Currently, Sara can be seen making stuff up on stage with her amazing all-female improv team, Mixed Signals.
