Drop-In Hours & Messy Writing Meet-Up
This week during Drop-In Hours, we’ll be holding our Messy Writing Meet-up! Messy questions, messy feelings, messy drafts in a messy world. Let’s sift through the mess together to find answers, solace & inspiration.
At this session, we’ll be celebrating authors who have had their messy writings banned, including BABEL author Jhumpa Lahiri, who will be visiting this week. We’ll head to the Central Library’s Reading Park to read from banned books and write inspired by them.
JBWC doors open at 3:30 and meet-ups begin at 4:30pm. You are welcome to join the meet-up or to hang in the independent writing/reading room to write, read, and get one-on-one feedback on anything you’re working on.
- Youth Writing Workshops at the JBWC are FREE and aimed at young students aged 12–18.
- This workshop is hybrid—you can attend in-person or from home!
- ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: If you have any questions/issues accessing any of these opportunities, please let us know and we will work with you to make sure you can participate.
