
Dream Delivery Service Kickoff Reading: Mathias Svalina & Sony Ton-Aime
Join Just Buffalo Literary Center for a reading celebrating poet Mathias Svalina’s Dream Delivery Service, coming to Buffalo for daily hand-delivery of dreams via bike from mid-May to mid-June. Svalina will read with poet Sony Ton-Aime.
Masks are strongly encouraged for all attendees. This event is free to attend, but we ask that you please RSVP!

Sony Ton-AimePoet, Essayist, Translator
Sony Ton-Aime is a Haitian poet, essayist, and translator. He is the Michael I. Rudell Director of Literary Arts at Chautauqua Institution. He is the author of the chapbook, LaWomann (Ironworks Press, 2019), the Haitian Creole translation of the book Olympic Hero: The Lennox Kilgour’s Story, co-author of the Haitian Creole course on Duolingo, and co-founding editor of ID13. His work has appeared and is forthcoming in Artful Dodge, La Revista PingPong, The Oakland Review, Dunes Review, Poets.org, The Idaho Review, Hunger Mountain Review, Cleveland Review of Books, among others.

Mathias Svalina is the author of seven books & runs a dream delivery service (dreamdeliveryservice.com.). He is a founding editor of the small press Octopus Books & has taught creative writing in universities, high schools, community arts spaces, prisons, & libraries. Thank You Terror, a poetry collection, will be published this winter by Big Lucks Books, & Comedy, a short story collection, will be published by Trident Books in 2024.
