“Dispatches From a Black Mail Carrier” Bookstore Reading Series
During this weekly reading series at Buffalo bookstores, local author Léwuga Benson will read & discuss the 8 chapters of his book Dispatches From a Black Mail Carrier. He will also share extra information and details about his experiences as a postal worker that did not make it into the book. There will be Q&A & book signing at the end of each reading session, and light refreshments will be served.
This series is about getting to know Léwuga as a person while also learning about the postal profession in general. More broadly, it is geared more toward those who are interested in discovering unique stories that, although dissimilar to their own lived experiences, nevertheless relate to a larger American experience which ties each and every one of us together.
Each session is held at a local Buffalo bookstore (Westside Stories, Rust Belt Books, and Fitz Books). The full schedule, along with links to register, is listed below. You do not need to attend every session to participate! Those who do not yet have the book are encouraged to get a copy to follow along.
