As a precaution to help limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and care for our community, Just Buffalo Literary Center has postponed a number of events, and we will follow the guidance of Buffalo Public Schools in terms of Just Buffalo Writing Center programming.

Buffalo Writes with Julianne Neely (In-Person)

Join us for a drop-in writing time facilitated by established writers from Just Buffalo.

During this adult writing workshop, you will be offered generative writing prompts and tips, with the opportunity to share your work. Come and write among fellow writers and creatives in the newly-remodeled Just Buffalo Writing Center. Just come ready to write.

This workshop is limited to 12 in-person participants.

  • COVID SAFETY: We’ll be following social distancing protocol and providing masks and sanitizer as needed.
  • ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: If you have any questions/issues accessing any of these opportunities, please let us know and we will work with you to make sure you can participate.

    Poet

    Julianne Neely received her MFA degree from the Iowa Writer’s Workshop, where she received the Truman Capote Fellowship, the 2017 John Logan Poetry Prize, and a Schupes Fellowship for Poetry. She is currently a Poetics PhD student and an English Department Fellow at the University at Buffalo. Her writing has been published in Hyperallergic, VIDA, The Poetry Project, The Rumpus, The Iowa Review and more. She has three chapbooks out with Slope Editions, garden-door Press, and Foundlings Press and a forthcoming digital chapbook from Megatron Press.
