BABEL Book Discussion: Isabel Wilkerson’s The Warmth of Other Suns
Please join us in person for food, refreshments, & an informal discussion of Isabel Wilkerson’s national bestselling book, The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration, facilitated by Steve Peraza.
In this beautifully written masterwork, the Pulitzer Prize–winning author of Caste chronicles one of the great untold stories of American history: the decades-long migration of black citizens who fled the South for northern and western cities, in search of a better life.
“Wilkerson’s work,” in the words of The American Prospect magazine, “is the missing puzzle piece of our country’s history.”
