Sunday, December 27, 2020 Fictitious Beasts: Animal Points of View in Eco-fiction (Youth) Timelines: 3b: Past Workshops (Unseen Archive), 4: Alexis David Workshops & Events
How do animals view the world? How might writers create animal persona narratives? This generative workshop invites writers to read snippets of first person point of view narratives from animal perspectives (rhinoceros, gorilla, etc) and create their own stories. Using animal sound map websites, writers will delicately cross the boundaries between poetry and prose and think about how they might use and create language for animals. Writers will be given eco-fiction publication opportunities at the end of the workshop.
