27 Dec Rebus Poetry (Youth) Timelines: 3b: Past Workshops (Unseen Archive), 4: Julio Montalvo Valentín Workshops & Events
Rebus writing has traditionally been used to teach reading and writing skills. Where a word is absent, we find an image that best conveys the purpose or need of such a word. Without knowing, we still use Rebus writing through our way of communicating via text messages and the use of emojis. This workshop examines a teaching technique that not only fills those gaps but also gives us an opportunity to evaluate our own writing and ability to read ourselves differently, whether through a screen or on the page.

Date: Tuesday, February 2, 2021
