ABOUT THE READERS + ARTIST

Kina Viola is a poet and bookmaker living in Ithaca, NY. Her work has appeared in Peach Mag, Cloud Rodeo, Small Po[r]tions, Jellyfish, Best of the Net, and others. She is an editor for Big Lucks Books, makes hand-stitched and letterpressed chapbooks for Garden-Door Press, and co-runs the Party Fawn Reading Series. Her chapbook Darkcutter (the Atlas Review) will be released in September 2019.

Marty Cain is the author of Kids of the Black Hole (Trembling Pillow, 2017), a book-length poem, and Four Essays (Tammy, 2019), a hybrid memoir chapbook. Individual works appear, most recently, in Fence, Sink Review, Tarpaulin Sky, e-ratio, Pulpmouth, and other places. He holds an MFA from the University of Mississippi, and currently, is a PhD candidate at Cornell, where he researches rural geographies and poetry community. In Ithaca, NY, he co-edits Garden-Door Press and helps run the Party Fawn Reading Series.

Leah Clancy is a multidisciplinary artist and writer. A native Buffalonian, she wanders between Los Angeles and Mexico City. She graduated from NYU with a bachelor’s in English and American Literature in 2013, and earned her MFA in Creative Writing from CalArts in 2016. She is a cofounder of Potluck Mag, MIDDLEYARD, and 110 Studio, and a poet with The Haiku Guys. Find her on Twitter and Instagram at @leah_clancy, and at leahclancy.info.

Jennifer Skelton is a poet and artist from Buffalo, NY. Her chapbook Gin was released in March, 2017. Her work has been published in Ghost City Review, Philosophical Idiot, My Next Heart: New Buffalo Poetry, and other places online and in print.

Jared Benjamin, also known as J.B. Stone, is a neurodivergent performance poet and writer from Brooklyn, now residing in Buffalo. He is the author of two chapbooks, A Place Between Expired Dreams and Renewed Nightmares (Ghost City Press, 2018) and Fireflies & Hand Grenades (Stasia Press, 2020). His poetry, reviews, and prose have appeared in over 45 journals, including YES Poetry, Glass, BlazeVOX, Five 2 One, Crack the Spine, Maudlin House, Peach Mag, Empty Mirror, and others. He is also the reviews editor at Coffin Bell Journal and the newest contributor for Step Out Buffalo.

Mickey Harmon is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Buffalo. He prides himself on collaborating with local artists, writers, and activists to better represent the creatives in his circle of peers. He has published three books: Color Me White, The Life & Times of Grovey Cleves, and A Pie-Eyed Night with Peggy O’Neil. He lives in Allentown, an arts neighborhood, with his husband Robert and their rabbit Fernando.

Peach Mag is a literature and arts magazine based out of Buffalo and powered by a team of volunteer editors. Its flagship publication is peachmgzn.com, where a new creative writing or visual art feature is published every Tuesday and Friday. The editors also produce in-print anthologies, publish a column of reading recommendations in The Public, present a seasonal reading series, sponsor annual awards featuring iconic guest judges, and host an annual apprenticeship program for emerging teen editors.
