Fiction For The Visual Mind Timelines: 3b: Past Workshops (Unseen Archive), 4: Alexis David Workshops & Events

Led by: Alexis David
Where:
Just Buffalo Writing Center
468 Washington Street @ Mohawk, 2nd Floor
Buffalo, NY 14203
Dates: October 16 & 18, 2018
Time: 4:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m.

Concentrating on fiction, this workshop will utilize the process of children’s book illustration to create short stories. By using the storyboard, writers will be encouraged to write using images, rather than plot points, to create scene. Additionally, object banks will be discussed and explored, as well as the role of suspense. Each day will be a generative workshop followed by author-based, questioning critique, modeled by the instructor. Publishing opportunities will be discussed at the very end of each day. Please join us for a calm, support, and kind workshop environment!

This workshop is FREE, aimed at young students aged 12–18, and limited to 12 participants.
