Marathon Comix: Visual Storytelling Workshop

Making a great comic can be as simple as placing one panel after another. Each panel asks a question that is, in turn, answered by the next. Gradually, a narrative takes shape, picking up the reader and delivering them someplace new. Often the artist themselves is uncertain of where it’s going until the very end, when it all comes together organically.

In this workshop, we’ll be playing with storyboarding. The challenge: to make as many panels as possible in the allotted time! It takes a whole lot of images to make a story. Using simple art techniques we will learn how to rack up a high quantity of images, without necessarily sacrificing the quality of our art. Let’s find out just how far we can carry our reader in this exciting online workshop!
