Summary of Position

Working with program staff and community partners, Just Buffalo’s Program Coordinator will support an exciting array of JBLC events including the BABEL Author Series, Silo City Reading Series, Just Buffalo Writing Center workshops and book discussions as well as community & fundraising events.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work closely with staff to implement JBLC programming & community engagement goals
  • Coordinate on-site events, workshops, and space rentals
  • Provide administrative and operational support including phone and email communications, print mailings, attendance tracking
  • Ensure the physical space is inspiring, welcoming, and well-maintained
  • Represent JBLC as a professional with community members of all ages & lived experience

Skills & Qualifications

  • Dynamic and dependable individual who is self-motivated to take initiative when working on a team or independently in supporting JBLC’s mission
  • Excellent organization skills and attention-to-detail
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Creativity, flexibility & positive attitude when working in a service-minded environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively, respectfully & equitably with individuals and groups including community members, students, educators, teaching artists, and colleagues
  • Experience with Google Workspace and/or WordPress a plus

Salary & Benefits

Depending on experience, this is a full-time (32 hours per week) or part-time (24 hours per week) hourly position. Rotating schedule will primarily focus on Monday thru Thursday. Work day and evening hours vary based on planned events and needs. Compensation rate ($18/hour to $23/hour) determined by experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
