09 Mar BABEL: Alison Bechdel Event Attendee FAQs
We can’t wait to welcome you to BABEL on Wednesday, March 16, for BABEL: Alison Bechdel. Below, you’ll find FAQs for event attendance.
What do I need to do or show to get in?
To get in, you’ll need your event ticket and proof of COVID-19 vaccination (Excelsior pass or CDC vaccination card). Remember to bring a mask, too—though no longer required at Kleinhans Music Hall, masks are strongly encouraged. You must use the main entrance at Symphony Circle; the Pennsylvania Street doors will not be open.
You’re still checking proof of vaccination? I heard you don’t have to show it anymore.
Yes, proof of vaccination is still required to attend BABEL at Kleinhans Music Hall. We will keep this policy in effect through the rest of the 2022 season.
What if I ordered in-person tickets after March 9th and they won’t be mailed?
If you ordered tickets after March 9th, you will be able to pick up your tickets at the will-call table the night of the event when doors open at 7 PM.
Where do I park?
Parking is free at the Kleinhans Music Hall parking lot.
Will there be books available to buy?
Yes! Talking Leaves … Books will be on-site selling books by our featured author (and all of this season’s BABEL authors!). A book signing will follow the event.
How do I watch the event from home?
Click the blue event link button at the top of your event confirmation email to access your private link. You can watch live at 8 p.m. EST on Thursday, and/or watch the event recording at the same link through March 23rd.
When will I get my event confirmation email & virtual link?
Event confirmation emails will be sent on Friday, March 11th, with an additional reminder sent day-of. The email will come from babel@justbuffalo.org, so be sure to whitelist that address so the email isn’t sent to spam.
I bought multiple tickets — how do I make sure the other guest receives an event link?
If you purchased more than one subscription or individual ticket and your additional guest(s) need the event link, email babel@justbuffalo.org.
Where is the event program?
The event program is digital this year! Peruse it here (after March 10).
How do I submit a question for the audience Q&A?
To reduce person-to-person contact at the event and to allow participation by our at-home viewers, we are soliciting questions for the author in advance and inviting the audience to tweet or email questions live at the event (or from home). Submit in advance to babel@justbuffalo.org. Otherwise, you can tweet it to @justbuffalolit or email it to babel@justbuffalo.org during the event!
If you have a specific question that isn’t answered here, you can always get in touch with us via the CONTACT page.
