Our Response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Outbreak

As a precaution to help limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and care for our community, Just Buffalo Literary Center has postponed a number of events, and we will follow the guidance of Buffalo Public Schools in terms of Just Buffalo Writing Center programming.

After a year of sheltering in place, LIT CITY is on the move. Just Buffalo invites Western New Yorkers of all ages to tell us: What Moves You?

Write a poem or piece of short prose that speaks to the power of words to move you. Submit your piece by June 30 and who knows where your words might pop up.

Writing Workshops

(Virtual) Just Buffalo Writing Center

Dedicated to the empowerment of young voices, the Just Buffalo Writing Center provides access to writing workshops, literary events, and one-on-one assistance with all kinds of writing. Our center hopes to help young people attain the tools they need to flourish as writers and leaders in our community.

More Virtual Writing Workshops

The JBWC also plays home to adult writing workshops for adult writers of all ages and skill levels, as well as providing workshops for encouraging and supporting the teachers and schools in our community.
