All workshops are FREE, aimed at young writers aged 12-18, and limited to 12 participants
“Lyric Essay” In this workshop we will examine poems that look like essays and essays that look like poems. Then we will try our hand our hand at our own lyric essays, utilizing playful modes of observation, reflection and wonder.
“Masters of the Grid: Graphic Novel Writing” In this ongoing workshop, we’ll be looking at the mechanics of comics and learning how to communicate stories most effectively through language of sequential art. We will explore the worlds of drawing & creative writing while compiling our own short anthology to be bound at the Western New York Book Arts Center.
