“Creative Nonfiction: Mapping Buffalo” In this two-part workshop, we will explore the city together through first-person narrative using techniques adapted from fiction, poetry, visual art, reportage, photography, music, memoir, and whatever else we can get our hands on.

“Masters of the Grid: Graphic Novel Writing” In this ongoing workshop, we’ll be looking at the mechanics of comics and learning how to communicate stories most effectively through language of sequential art. We will explore the worlds of drawing & creative writing while compiling our own short anthology to be bound at the Western New York Book Arts Center.
