Support

The commitment of co-sponsoring organizations is critical because it allows us – in a very inexpensive way for each organization – to raise enough to cover the cost of project coordination, flyers and other publicity, space rental, and adult emcees. Organizations are asked to contribute a minimum of $100 as a SOY co-sponsor.  Co-sponsors are listed on the flyers, in publicity, and receive electronic flyers to distribute.  Those whose youth actively participate on a regular basis are asked to consider kicking in $250 or more as they are able.

Several groups have been able to include support for the series in a youth-related grant to kick in towards space rental (PPWNY) or refreshments (GLYS); or have identified other small grants to support the series.  In addition, individual donations are always welcome in support of the series.  We’d love to discuss if you have ideas or opportunities to leverage additional support for SOY or would like to contribute.

By supporting a series that offers a safe, respectful and affirming environment in which diverse youth can share and further develop their creative talents, co-sponsorship is an investment in this community’s most precious asset, its young people.
