Please join us this month for two engaging, talented writers who will have new books available for purchase and signing.

Perry S. Nicholas is a professor at Erie Community College and host of the Center for Inquiry / Just Buffalo Literary Cafe.  He also co-hosts the Empire State / ECC Open Literary Reading each month at Appletree Mall.

Perry's first full-length collection, The River of You, was published by FootHills in 2009.  Recent work appears in Common Ground Review, Fourth River, Louisiana Literature, Caesura, Seven Circle Press, and Word Worth, and is forthcoming from NY Quarterly and Chautauqua Literary Journal.

Max Wickert was born in Augsburg, Germany and studied at St. Bonaventure and Yale.  He taught literature at UB and founded-directed the Outriders Poetry Project.  His verse has been recognized in the Mason Sonnet Award, the Albright-Knox Poems-on-Paintings Award, and the Burchfield Center Poetry Prize.

His translation in strict English octaves of Torquato Tasso's epic, The Liberation of Jerusalem, was issued by Oxford University Press in 2009.  He is presently working on Tasso's love poems and has prepared the first English translation of Andrea da Barberino's The Royal House of France (I Reali di Francia), a fifteenth-century cycle of chivalric prose romances.
