Ever wonder what it would be like to be someone else? Or find yourself through the voice and circumstances of a character different from your own? Dramatic monologues are a form of Theatre that can be found within a larger work or self-contained as complete plays. In this workshop we’ll explore dramatic monologues from both a structural and practical perspective. What does a character want and what’s in her way? How does action reveal character? And most importantly, how do you show the inner workings of a character’s thoughts through writing and performance?

This workshop is FREE, aimed at young students aged 12–18, and limited to 12 participants.
