Writers at Work is a new series featuring professionals in the Buffalo community who will visit the Just Buffalo Writing Center for a discussion with the young writers on the role writing plays in their daily lives.

Our first featured guest is Colin Dabkowski.Colin Dabkowski is an arts critic and reporter at The Buffalo News, where he writes on theater and the visual arts. Before joining The News in 2007, he worked as managing editor at Voice of Witness, a series of oral history books published by McSweeney’s in San Francisco, and as a freelance writer in New Orleans. He is a 2004 graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, with a B.S. in magazine journalism and Spanish language and literature. Since October of 2015, he has served as vice president for mobilization of the Buffalo Newspaper Guild, CWA Local 31026.

This discussion is FREE, aimed at young students aged 12–18, and limited to 12 participants.
