On October 25th of 1981, the Burchfield Center hosted an event labeled “Brunch, Jazz, and Poetry: Robert Creeley and Five New Voices.” 35 years later, on October 26th, 2016, four of those “New Voices” will reunite as part of the Readings at the RIC series at Daemen College. Anne Pluto, Gary Eddy, Jorge Guitart, and Peter Siedlecki will read from their original competition submissions, from their newer work, and from the work of Robert Creeley. The reading will be held on Wednesday, October 26th at 7:30 on the third floor of the Research and Information Commons on the Daemen College Campus. Admission is free; refreshment and music will be provided; and facsimiles of the original program will be distributed.
