The Pearls are a Women’s Writing Collective which developed out of a Just Buffalo Literary Center writing workshop led by master teacher Jimmie Margaret Gilliam in the winter of 2004. The women in the group continued to meet and write together through 2015. Jimmie Margaret Gilliam passed away in 2016. Her life and legacy continue to be felt and inspire.
