Our August readers are DARRELL EPP and KATE ERSING. DARRELL EPP, from Hamilton, Ontario, has published poetry in over 130 magazines on 6 continents. His work has been described as a mix of Lou Reed-style reportage and surrealistic improvisations. His third collection, _Sinners Dance_, was published by Mosaic Press in April. “I enjoyed these poems immensely”–William Peter Blatty, author of _The Exorcist_.

His poem, “Pregnant Fly Dead on My Windshield” can be found at

The writing of KATE ERSING, a young Buffalo poet, examines technology as kin, exploring the psychic magnetism and cognitive influence that industry, late capitalism, and anthropogenic dystopia have on biological and emotional systems. Ersing is leaving town soon to begin medical school.
